Objective: The Interface Mission is part of Component 5 ‘Capitalization and Business Innovation’ which brings together as its main objective to deepen the effort to expand and consolidate the network of institutions interface between the academic system, science and technology and the Portuguese business fabric, ensuring the necessary support to enhance their impact on the promotion of R&D investment and innovative investment in companies, particularly in terms of its export potential. A Missão Interface tem, assim, o objetivo de garantir o financiamento público de base para reforçar a rede de instituições de interface, como definidas no regime jurídico em vigor, aprovado pelo Decreto-Lei nº 63/2019 de 16 de maio, vulgarmente designado por “Lei da Ciência”, assim como na sua 1.ª revisão sobre os “Centros de Tecnologia e Inovação – CTI” e os “Laboratórios Colaborativos – CoLAB”, aprovado pelo Decreto-Lei nº 126-B/2021 de 31 de dezembro.
