Descrição do projeto: The BioCosMAp project aims to expand the national portfolio of organic cosmetics and ingredients. Extraction conditions will be optimized to obtain an organic propolis extract, and three cosmetics with organic properties (anti-acne, soothing/healing, and moisturizing) will be created by incorporating bee ingredients, propolis extract, and monofloral mountain honey from the Montesinho Natural Park.

1) Study the potential of bee products from the Montesinho Natural Park as cosmetic ingredients;
2) Develop three types of biological cosmetic products with bee ingredients from the Montesinho Natural Park region, with biological properties;
3) Validate on an industrially relevant scale the production of the three organic cosmetic products;
4) Optimize the process of extracting organic propolis from the Montesinho Natural Park;
5) Demonstrate the process of extracting propolis from the Montesinho Natural Park on an industrially relevant scale.

1) Study of the potential of bee products as ingredients in cosmetics;
2) Study of new cosmetic products on a laboratory scale;
3) Demonstration of the potential of the developed products;
4) Dissemination, communication, and exploitation of project results;
5) Project management.

Expected Results: Obtain an organic propolis extract from the Montesinho Natural Park and three organic cosmetic products incorporating bee products from the Montesinho Natural Park and with biological properties (an anti-acne cream, a repairing and soothing cream and a moisturizing and anti-aging face serum).
