Fátima Simão holds a degree in Biology, a master’s degree in ecology, biodiversity and ecosystem management and a PhD in Biology and Ecology of Global Changes from the University of Aveiro. At MORE CoLAb, she is a research technician in the ECO group (Mountain Environment and Ecosystem Management) working on the EdgeOnVespa project. Her expertise includes the sampling, identification, and analysis of arthropod communities in agroecosystems. She also has experience in the ecotoxicological assessment of contaminants in freshwater invertebrates, with a particular focus on planarians.
