João Pinto has a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (Portugal) and is attending the PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) with a thesis entitled “Development of sustainable polymer solutions”. Currently, he is a Research Technician in the area of Biobased Products and Processes (BIOB) at MoreColab where he performs the role of project manager and technical responsible for service deliveries. Its competences include planning, management and execution of technical activities in projects and services. In recent years has developed research work focused on the production of polymers from biomass, namely polyols by oxypropylation and other liquefaction processes, the recovery of agro-industrial waste for production of polymeric materials and their characterization.
