Jorge Almiro P. Paiva holds a PhD in Biology and in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and the University of Bordeaux (France), a Master’s degree in Tropical Agricultural Production, and a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomic Engineering from ISA-UTL. At MORE CoLAB, he works as a Research Technician, with over 25 years of experience in forest genomics, sustainability, and technological innovation. Throughout his career, he has carried out scientific work in national and international institutions, participating in scientific consortia in the agronomic and forestry fields. He has coordinated and contributed to competitive national and European projects, published more than 30 articles in international scientific journals (h-index 20), and serves in editorial roles. His expertise includes advanced training, knowledge transfer, plant biology, bioeconomy, digital technologies, GIS, and integrated rural fire management.
