Matilde Gomes has a degree in History and a master’s degree in Museology from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP). Between 2023 and 2025, she was involved in several academic initiatives, having been a member of the Organising Committee of Museology Week for two consecutive years. She also participated in international volunteer projects, namely at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial in Germany and at a community centre supporting migrants and refugees in Lesbos, Greece. She obtained a master’s research scholarship from FCT/CITCEM/FLUP (2024-2025) and, since 2025, has participated as a speaker at conferences in Spain and Portugal.
