The objective of this project is to improve the skills of caregivers who support the elderly in healthy aging strategies and based on a digital transformation of their training and daily work. In this sense, high quality content and tools will be developed according to known European policies and recommendations (ICOPE OMS), but considering national and local contexts that can increase the impact of our results.

The main objectives can be divided into three proposed outcomes:

  • 1) the m-Learning application,
  • 2) the blended learning course based on an eLearning site and interaction sessions with flipped classroom and roundtable methodologies
  • 3) the digital white paper, will contribute to strengthen the role of caregivers as educators in Healthy Aging and motivate them to promote Healthy Aging strategies in the elderly community.

  • PR1. Application of m-Learning for informal training of caregivers. Promote digital technologies in Healthy Aging through short videos, gamification and other approaches that enhance informal learning.
  • PR2. Training course based on blended learning methodology (e-learning platform + inverted classroom methodologies and round table). Value innovative teaching methods that provide caregivers with effective and motivating ICT-based materials and tools for Healthy Ageing education and improve their skills and abilities.
  • PR3. Digital white paper to empower caregiver training. Compile, select and adapt European and national recommendations on care for the elderly to promote best practices of caregivers and generate a reference manual.



  • Development of content and innovative approaches for the training of informal and formal health care providers. Development of a mobile application and an e-learning platform to promote learning. Production of a digital white paper to strengthen the role of health care providers.
