Objectives
- Operationalize and disseminate existing knowledge on ecological restoration solutions using seeds from herbaceous wild native plants of local origin.
- Evaluate different ecological restorations solutions.
- Develop a strategy to involve all value chain components.
Activities
- State-of-the-art of all projects, initiatives, scientific works and public policies (at national and european level) that aim to support ecological restoration solutions.
- Development of a Toolkit to facilitate access to existing knowledge on ecological restoration processes.
- Development of the project’s communication plan, including collaboration tools to center the partner’s information.
- Drafting of the objectives and protocols for the monitoring and evaluation of the different pilot plots (identification and selection of several target environments; descriptive map of all sites; elaboration of protocols for the collection/production of seeds, and their sowing and monitoring).
- Seed production and restoration operations’ management.
- Data gathering and processing, and analysis and capitalization of pilot plots
- Advancement in modeling development scenarios for the tested solutions, through groups of multiple stakeholders.
- Support local actors in implementing restoration practices and raising awareness among public-private decision makers, value chain agents and the general population.
- Recommendations on available action plans to support the sustainability of the tested solutions.
